Colloquium: "Tyurin degenerations, mirror symmetry and perverse sheaves of categories"

Abstract: I will describe mirror symmetry and how it relates fibration structures on Calabi-Yau manifolds to degenerations called Tyurin degenerations. I will discuss how this relationship can be seen as a categorical relationship via perverse sheaves of categories.
