Major Oral: "An Endpoint Estimate for Multilinear Calderón-Zygmund Operators"

Cody Stockdale, Washington University in Saint Louis

Abstract: The fact that Calderón-Zygmund operators satisfy a weak type (1,1) bound is essential in the theory of singular integrals. In 2002, Grafakos and Torres established an analogous weak type estimate for multilinear Calderón-Zygmund operators. As in the classical linear case, their proof relies on the use of the Calderón-Zygmund decomposition. In this talk, we discuss a new proof of this multilinear weak type estimate. Our proof is based upon an idea by Nazarov, Treil, and Volberg and completely avoids using the Calderón-Zygmund decomposition.
