Geometry & Topology Seminar: "Integration of Lie Brackets via Stacks"

Abstract: It's well known that not every Lie algeboid can be integrated to a Lie groupoid. However, Chenchang Zhu and others have observed that it is still possible to integrate Lie Algebroids if we allow a generalization of the notion of a manifold. In this talk I will give a brief overview of this idea. Then I will explain a few open questions and outstanding problems in the area. Lastly, I will preview some joint work, with Rui Fernandes, which aims to solve these problems.
