Gregory Yablonsky, Saint Louis University

April 4, 2018 - 4:00pm to 5:00pm

Cupples I, Room 6

*Abstract: A panoramic view on the interaction between Chemistry and Mathematics will be presented. The ‘natural’ mathematical languages of contemporary Chemistry will be characterized using simple examples (linear and non-linear algebra, theory of differential equations). *

*Special attention will be paid to the problem “How to decode the chemical complexity using the mathematical tools”?*

*An effectiveness of collaboration between chemists and mathematicians will be discussed.*

*Host: John McCarthy*
