WUSTL Math Alum Wins Nobel Prize

On October 8, WUSTL Mathematics alumnus W.E. Moerner (Stanford University, California) and colleagues Eric Betzib (Howard Hughes Medical Institute, Virginia) and Stefan Hell (Max Plack Institute for Biophysical Chemistry, Germany) were awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for developments in fluorescence microscopy.
